Hello fellow environmentalist! My name is Monica Barrick and I am currently enrolled in OCE2013. I am in the Environmental Science Technology A.S degree. I have enjoyed the classes in this degree immensely. One of my favorite classes I have taken was Energy and its Effects on the Environment. I've always thought I would be a marine biologist but after I took this class, it sparked my interest on solar energy. I believe this is what I really want to do but your know how we humans are.. always changing our minds. I'm quite inquisitive of this subject and believe this will be a good path for me. I also want to make a good impact on our planet. I hope to spark peoples interest on renewable energy in my future posts.

Here are some random facts about myself. I am an animal lover, I have two chinchillas and two cats. My chinchillas are named after Pokemon (yes, I'm a nerd). I'm very anti-plastic and trying to steer away from the norm. Its a difficult task but that is my environmental side coming out and i hope to open peoples minds on what we are doing to our Mother Earth. I love the ocean and every creature in it. I would much rather be in nature than stuck inside and the beach is my paradise. I work at a local grocery store called Love Whole Food and I enjoy every minute of it. I've worked there almost 2 years and I have learned a lot about personal health. I recently got engage to a wonderful man named Alex and I am very excited for our future. I hope to one day be the a owner of a Tesla Model S P85D and then I'll be set. Thanks for reading!
